Saucony Omni ISO Men
Big G Says…
This is the 17th version of the Omni - a tried and tested stability training shoe. The Omni ISO and the Guide ISO fall into the stability category but while the Guide ISO is for mild to moderate pronators, the Omni ISO is for moderate to severe pronators.
Both models have a firmer medial post to control pronation. The post of the Guide is more centered under the mid-foot while the Omni's is a bit longer to the back to give more rear-foot support.
The Runner's World Shoe Lab claimed that the sturdy medial post combined with a rock-solid heel counter gives the Omni sky-high pronation control. They even rated the Omni to be a motion control shoe i.e. the grade of anti- pronation support above stability. I say very good control but at the top end of the stability category.
This latest version combines Saucony's usual blend of PWRFOAM with an EVERUN overlay giving responsive cushioning and the new lSOfit upper adapts to the natural movement of the foot, reducing the chance of blisters and hotspots while creating a wide toe box.
So the combination of great stability features, a high degree of cushioning and a very comfortable upper, makes this a welcome addition to the Saucony range in South Africa.
