Big G Says…
The Brooks Ravenna 10 is a neutral lightweight shoe with guide rails to improve the medial and lateral stability of the foot plant. ln old terminology, this shoe would be classified as a racer/trainer........ light enough to be used as a shorter distance racing shoe, ideal for speed work and time trials but sufficiently cushioned and supportive to handle everyday training.
The Ravenna 10 features a set of Guide Rails, smaller but similar to those on the Adrenaline 19....its big brother. They provide some rearfoot control while not interfering with a neutral foot plant. The idea is to limit excessive heel and lower leg rotation in order to keep your natural knee motion within a safe range by better aligning your gait.
The midsole material (BioMoGo) delivers a little more rearfoot cushioning than at the forefoot and the idea is that it creates a faster and more responsive feel of the road. So without a doubt, a useful addition to the Brooks range with the ability to satisfy several types of runners from neutral to mild pronators
