Big G Says…
A long time favourite, the Guide has taken some huge strides in the last few years to become one of the most dynamic moderate support shoes on the market - an optimal balance of plush cushioning, subtle support, and continual energy return for a great running experience.
The main change in the mid-sole of this latest model is that the higher density guidance foam on the ISO 2 is slightly softer. The 3mm layer of Everun sandwiched between the new Performance Contoured Footbed and the PWRfoam mid-sole provides good cushioning, comfort, and energy return. The upper has been tweaked with a lighter and more breathable feel although the weight savings are negligible.
So to summarise, the 12th version of this popular and successful model is little changed. The consensus is that this new version is slightly less supportive, but possibly to compensate, Saucony now has the Omni ISO in the range which has a more substantial medial pillar for additional support.
