Asics Fuji Trabuco 7 Ladies
Big G Says…
We basically break trail shoes down into 3 categories - a) Stable, sturdy and durable b)cushioned and protective c) lightweight and flexible.
The Fuji Trabuco 7 definitely falls into the first category. The outsole is made of Asics new Grip rubber designed to give a fantastic grip on both wet and dry surfaces. The aggressive multidirectional stud pattern is designed to maximise traction on both up and downhill slopes while the rock protection plate prevents stone bruising.
The Flytefoam Lyte mid-sole plus a rear-foot gel insert provides continuous cushioning and has a duomax medial pillar for added stability. This could be an advantage if you are a bad pronator, as most trail shoes are neutral.
The upper has features like mid-stance overlays for support, a solid protective toe cap, a lace garage and a tongue gaiter to keep out grit and sand.
This model is definitely an upgrade from Asics previous trail shoes. Rugged and durable they can take on the toughest ultra trails anywhere.
